One of the hottest looking engines in the Mustang over the past decade is the 2012-2014 5.0 V8. Not only does the 5.0 put down major power, but it’s a work of art.
What many don’t know is that the 5.0′s good looks come primarily to the blessing of its plenum cover which dresses it up as well as hides a lot of the fuel and electronics hardware.
Well if ya like the look, and you have a 2005-2010 Mustang GT with the 4.6 3V V8 you now can take advantage of the same style thanks to California Pony Cars.
California Pony Cars has introduced a completely new design intake manifold cover for the 2005-2010 Mustang GT 3v engine that mimics the look of the new 2011-2012 5.0L intake manifold cover.
This kit incorporates the best looking design with features people prefer most, providing a “finishing touch” to an area that, by design, looks as if something is missing.
The intake manifold cover will hide those unsightly wiring harnesses for a cleaner look and provides clearance for many strut tower braces.
It’s made from engineering grade injection molded plastics for a precise fit that installs in just a few minutes. California Pony Cars says that it is proudly manufactured in the U.S.A.
The plenum cover comes in various finishes starting at about $199 (part #ENG-050-447) or you can get a complete dress up kit with valve cover shrouds as well which enhance the look even further, starting at $398 (part #ENG-000-420).
