Using This Kit with a Toploader or T10 Transmission?
This clutch cable conversion kit is specifically designed for T-5 and Tremec conversions. If you want to use this kit with an original Mustang Toploader or T10 transmission, some fabrication will be required.
📌 Additional Modifications for Early Bellhousings:
🔧 Replacement Fulcrum Bolt – Required to support the cable-style clutch release arm.
🔧 Ford Release Arm (1987-1993 Mustang 5.0 T-5) – Needed for proper clutch engagement.
🔧 Aluminum Bellhousing Adapter Plate – To mount the cable system.
🔧 Threaded 1/2" Hole in Adapter Plate – Allows installation of the new fulcrum bolt.
🔧 Fabricated Cable Housing Stop – To secure the cable outside the bellhousing.
