The TRA-658-712 is a custom-engineered flexplate designed to adapt a late-model 5.0L / 302 engine to an early C4 automatic transmission in 1965–1968 Ford Mustangs and other classic Ford vehicles. It features a 157-tooth ring gear and 50oz imbalance, precision-balanced for reliable performance in engine swaps and restomod builds.
Unlike most flexplates on the market for this application, the TRA-658-712 is built to the correct thickness—many other flexplates are known to be too thick, causing alignment and engagement issues in 5.0L to C4 setups.
