This transmission dipstick and tube is manufactured to OE specifications for the 1980-1992 Mustang,Thunderbird,Bronco and Town cars with the 4R70W or the AOD "automatic overdrive" transmissions and is now, also used when upgrading your Classic 1964-1973 Mustang with the very popular AOD overdrive transmission conversion kit. Our Made in USA 1980-1992 4R70W, AOD transmission dipstick and Tube features a zinc plated tube assembly, locking dipstick and a "No Leak" rubber hat seal with welded mounting tab as the Ford original. This AOD dipstick and tube assembly will Not work on the "AODE" (automatic overdrive "electric") transmission as the mounting tab bracket has a different mounting location.
