I purchased this bracket to use with my original column shifter on a 1971 maverick with a modern 5.0 and c4 in it. I know the bracket is designed for a clutch z bar but I figured it used the same hole for the column shifter. Turned out the auto bell housing must be a different thickness than a manual bell housing and needed some modification of the bracket and bell housing. However the bracket still works for my application and saved me a bunch of time over fabricating my own or a bunch of money over buying an ugly aftermarket floor shifter. Put a couple of spacers under the bracket and shaved a little off of the bracket and bell housing and it is working great so far. The bracket is very well built and I have no doubt it would be a bolt in piece for what it is advertised for. Very happy I could use my original shifter with my engine swap.
