This 1964-1973 Mustang Automatic Overdrive Shifter linkage kit is used when installing a 1984-1993 A.O.D (Automatic Overdrive) transmission into an early model 1964-1973 Ford Mustang. Our kit allows you to retain the factory floor shifter lever and is a great way to keep the classic look to your Mustang project while benefiting from a newer modern AOD overdrive transmission, designed to allow the use of all Ford factory 1964-1973 Mustang shifter lever mechanism while adapting to a later model AOD transmission. The "shaft lever arm" assembly supplied in our kit must be replaced in order to ensure correct spacing and ratio with the early model stock shifter, comes with detailed installation form.
